This Spring (2026) I will be traveling from our home office and main Think Tank Facility to Greenwich, Connecticut to spend a week working comfortably with my Service Dog Rapunzadoodle I and my husband in tow. Nearby will be Bethlehem Connecticut; our trip will focus this round on instead visiting Bethlehem Pennsylvania on our way back from the East Coast Port Areas.
On the way up from our home GPS mark in the Northern Virginia (NOVA) area of the DC Metro area known as Lowe’s Island in Sterling, Virginia in Loudoun County (all three ancestry lines confirmed to me), we will be sightseeing while leaf looking through a variety of toes and areas also named after my verified ancestry. Flowers in the east coast are lovely to watch bloom; for a car girl with allergies like I have to things like pollen and a desire to avoid taking Benadryl to abate them, a pleasure drive by car with a cooler of gluten free meals and GF road trip snacks is my idea of a perfect Spring Vacation.
This trip as the Direct Granddaughter of Benjamin Franklin I wanted to do a walkabout around Philadelphia so we had a better view of the countryside while the chill of winter has past but the full lush deep hues of green and dense canopy of leaves have not yet for summer filled in. Perhaps driving for fun someplace sounds a bit Griswald but Ancestral Travel is a pleasure thanks to my ancestry.
It’s March entering April in my particular timeline. Standard time notes EST daylight savings time applied.
The weather is expected to be 50 degrees in the shade to 80 degrees in the sun for our particular trip. I have no clue what to pack apart for comfort while traveling and for climate security in layers.
We will share photos as we go, from our various locales, and will be taking extra time on our way back from Greenwich CT to see the following areas.
