Barbados & West Indies Native American Gedmatch Study.
The following information for Forensic Historians, Genealogists, and Ancestry Research buffs was extracted directly from the Ancestry Projects Page on GEDmatch.com. Kristi Lami is a confirmed DNA member of the group. Kristi Lami is the host of “Are You Related to Morgan Plantagenet?” located in the same free section of their Global Intelligence based Ancestry Platform. Please contact them directly for information about joining. We can only answer questions about our own group. The hosts of their program will have to assist you with any ancestral verifications of your own DNA. If you do match their terms for inclusion, we recommend that you add your own GED kit match number for inclusion in the Ancestry Preservation Project helping to solve cold cases in health and for the medical welfare of all.
“This Gedmatch Project is to help connect descendants of the New England Native American tribes particularly the Wampanoag, Pocasset, Pequot & Algonquin Tribes and the families of Barbados, the West Indies among others including Jamaica and Bermuda (St. David/Bailey’s Bay), the Azores and Morocco. Taino (Arawak) and other tribes who our ancestors may have married into or joined . We are not here to discredit anyone just to connect families that may have been enslaved to these areas and who have prevailed and survived into communities today. My grandmother was Wootoneakanuske aka Nanakooke wife to Metacom, Metacomet aka King Philip. This group is also of interest to descendants that had African enslaved ancestors to this area as it is told that Wootoneakanuske married an African Slave. Her granddaughter Susannah is said to have married into the Minor family. Her son with Metacom or Metom is also rumored to have descendants in these areas as well.”
