We are finding many Burk’s of different spelling are descendants of our Progenitor William de Burgh born:- 1160 Ireland, son of Walter de Burgh. All these Burk/de Burgh descendants currently fall under Haplogroup R-BY32575 or R-BY53774 or R-BY32379 and their Subclades. All Burk’s should BigY700 or similar next generation test to confirm if they are descendants of William deBurgh. We have Haplogroups dating back an estimated 250,000 years until current day final SNP’s (Single Nucleoside polymorphisms) This Project and our other Group Projects combine to bring all Burke’s together to add their various linages to the Block Tree. Then we hope to match that tree with written Genealogies and those of William deBurgh. Autosomal test results will further assist with more Recent Burke matches. Please ONLY submit those on your Burk (Burke DNA) side. We wish to keep our data as clean as possible. Just because someone is in an area is not good enough. All Kits with Burk DNA are welcome for submission. After you submit your Kit please join our Faceook Group so we may keep you informed of important or interesting breakthroughs or discoveries and maintain continuity.
