“THE LOST COUSINS > The Lost Cousins is an interesting puzzle. We have a number of matches across Europe, UK, America + South America we can’t explain from known branches of our family trees. We have pure Russian + Slavic people with cross matches with so called ‘pure’ English people. The line seems to originate in Imperial Russia and the Baltic states then travels south through Poland, Hungary, Czech, Italy, France, Portugal + the Balkans over 7 generations. From these ‘foundation countries’ matches can be found in the USA, UK, Australia, South Africa , Brazil and other countries that had mass immigration in the last century. The majority of the Portuguese line matches are located in Brazil, almost all have ancestors from Madeira Island (Portugal).
