Around the Heather’s Edge Ireland Wide. At its core this is a localized group based in County Tyrone. However, our Surname Study ancestor project has generated interest from across Ireland and abroad and we are happy to include those whose ancestors are known to have came from Ireland. Geographically core members of the group are linked to an area known historically as ‘The Heather’s Edge’ encompassing but not limited to the parish of Killeeshil old and new, Donaghmore, Castlecaulfield, Cappagh, Pomeroy, Carrickmore, Dunmoyle, Dungannon upper, lower and middle, Galbally, Ballygawley and its environs. When joining please note the County, Townlands and Surnames you are researching if possible.
