Dark Triads are only interested in one thing: helping themselves. They are prone to helping themselves to your things, to taking advantage of people’s kindness socially and financially with no intent to return any time, money, or favors, and when asked to do anything important for you that is time sensitive and crucial they will pick that exact moment to let you down and attack you.
Conversely, Dark Empaths are the people you find who tend to focus on self improvement rather than on self for self. They are the people who might laugh at dark humor but they show up for friends, for family, and for their community time and time sensitive again and again. No matter how many people hurt a person of this biological type, they tend to be the first to reach out to share helpful advice or to give strangers as well as acquaintances and known problematic people (especially their own bio family members) a chance.

If you are an Empath — whether Dark Empath or Light, expect for anyone Overtly Psychopath or covertly Dark Triad, without being able to control their emotions, to physically despise you. Your light annoys them because it points out their flaws.
You don’t have to do or say anything to cause Psychopaths or Dark Triads Narcissistic Injury or to rage; they will be looking for excuses and reasons to justify why they think it’s okay to abuse you, to lie to you, to con, or to harm you. Those who also enjoy physically and sexually abusing others will prey on you physically; the rest of the more Alpha types will see their willingness to hurt you for their own satisfaction and amusement as a sign of loyalty to a Darker Triad while the beta Psychopaths will admire that they can cause you social, spiritual, emotional, and medical stress related to it, and deep personal psychological damage from interacting.
