Husband the Explorer has thoughtfully reminder Plantagenet Family that as Castle Dwellers by nature that we routinely develop Vitamin D Deficiency.
Vitamin D deficiency hinders health and mood.
Therefore, heed the ancient medical advice from the Greeks to Roma who they adored.
If the weather is nice
and it’s sunny outdoors
get yourself into a sunbeam
and
whenever possible
loosen or eliminate
some of those clothes.
A sip of sun
taken in through the skin
improves
form
and
function
and VIBRATION.
Special reminder to self to put sunblock on my nose. Will head outdoors to draw, paint, or read in the sun later once the Service Dog wakes up from her nap.
Right now typing this note I am snuggled in under soft, comfy covers…
acting as PILLOW for a snoozing Labradoodle.
Later today after the sun dips a bit we will more than likely take a walk together, she and I.
We are also going to spend time on the porch. The sun makes it warm despite chilly temperatures this time of year.
The sound of the wind through the trees that seem to sing and laugh simultaneously while wilting to crumple under our own and other animal feet is sublime in our backyard right now.
The lush green of summer has been fading quickly this year with many leaves down already despite it still feeling like it’s too early.
Word from weather services is first snow is expected to hit neighboring West Virginia Mountain areas soon. Husband’s advice to appreciate the ease of weather today in the DC Metro area is good.
Weather is predictably unpredictable in Northern Virginia.
A separate aside, Facebook is still broken. Looks like a hack.
